Hello, and welcome to the Mountainview Web Site. This site has
existed since July 2001, and in its present form since early
February, 2003. It is updated as often as required, when
someone new signs in, sends a photo, or there is a bit of
news.
One of the main aims of this site is to help alumni get in
touch with each other, and reunite with old friends. Most have
an e-mail address, which can be posted on the chat-line.
Others have left theirs on file with me, and can be contacted
thru sending an e-mail to the site address.
I am trying to collect as many photo's of High
school/Otterburn days as I can. It seems that not too many
people carried around a camera back then, so I have had to
rely on a couple of old yearbooks for most of the pics. If you
have anything that you think would be of interest, please send
them to the e-mail address in jpeg format. These photo's don't
have to be Mountainview specific, they can just be of general
interest. Family photo's taken around the community are always
a source of great interest.
As you will see, this place is always changing. Nothing
drives me crazier than visiting a site and seeing it was last
updated two years ago! Any suggestions you might have would be
appreciated, just send them along to the e-mail address,
listed below.
In our ALUMNI SECTION you
see the list of most of the people who have gotten in touch. I
would really like to add some staff members to that list if
any of you are in touch with ex-teachers of the school please
let them know of our existence. I think we have done really
well in the short time we have been up and running. I really
want this place to become a familiar place to all of us who
shared the great school that was Mountainview.
There is plenty of space on this page for alumni of Notre Dame
School in the park, and indeed, for any Otterburn resident,
past or present. Please don't hesitate to sign in and let us
know where you are and what you are doing.
So, enjoy the site, get in touch, and spread the word.

Chris Doutre sent in this pic
of him crossing under the Golden Gate Bridge.
Taken last summer while he was
studying for his Sea Captains License. Great Stuff Chris! |

ALUMNI
As the list continues to grow, we've added a
separate page for all of you who have been kind enough to
register with us.
Also included are friends of Mountainview, who
didn't go to the school, but may as well have...mostly alumni
from Notre Dame School, and ex-residents of Otterburn and the
other 3 towns.

Yes its true, the page has come to
the end of the road. There has not been much interest in the
past year and I really do think it has run its course, so on
July 1, 2008 that will be that. Almost 100,000 visitors and
many happy reunions. If you think it still has a purpose to
serve, let me know.
Cheers, Donna

Gone but not forgotten, our old
bike license. I can remember scratching around to get the $2
together to buy mine. Sent in by Gerry Auclair. |

Interesting Web Page.... Minerals of Mont. St. Hilaire, a very
unique geological site.
http://www.saint-hilaire.ca
I was at a gem and mineral show a while ago.
There I met a fellow who goes on the orginized rockhound digs at the
Poudrette Quarry. He has all sorts of rocks and minerals he has
taken, legally, from "Our Mountain" Alan and I have a couple of big
ones in our garden. They are interesting with some crystaline
structure showing, mostly black and white. Neat, Eh?
